Thank you for visiting the Deck-Pro website! Now, here's some information about the guy behind Deck-Pro, Jim Merrell.
Although formally trained in the realm of construction science (B.S.-TAMU; M.S.- Auburn Univ.), I’m a person who has to be able to “create” in order to obtain the elusive “job satisfaction.” Therefore, I’ve chosen to spend the majority of my 23 year career as a carpenter in both the residential and commercial arena.

I returned to the Bryan/College Station area from Alaska in 2008 and have compiled an extensive list of references since being back. I take a tremendous amount of pride in providing complete satisfaction to my customers from design conception to job completion. Each project is custom tailored to the specific needs and lifestyle of the customer. I use the most powerful deck design software on the market today in order to give the customer a complete idea of what their deck will look like in their back yard while providing multiple options for handrails, accessories, and features.
  


One unique feature to Deck-Pro is the fact that it literally is a “one man show.” You won’t have to worry about dealing multiple individuals throughout your deck building process. I will be fully informed and well-versed with the specifics of your project when it comes time to break ground. I firmly believe this is another key reason that has enabled me to maintain my customer’s satisfaction. I constantly strive to exceed my customer’s expectations.
